I wrote a blog for the Sustainability Business School in Switzerland on 10 ways to make 2020 the most sustainable year yet!

From addressing our diet and calling for policy change on food subsidies, to going flight free, to calling for fossil fuel divestment, to connecting with nature and focusing on ecosystem restoration, to consuming less and joining climate protests.

Importantly, I tried my best to focus largely on the systems around the issues at hand rather than focus alone on our individual behaviours, even listing calling for system change as the last and most important action for a more sustainable year ahead.

As Emily Atkin of heated.world says: “I did not say stop talking about individual action. I did not say individual action doesn’t matter. I said powerful figures talk about individual action too much and systemic change not enough. The most meaningful individual climate action you can do is demand systemic change.”
